Presbyopia
Presbyopia usually starts around late 30s/ early 40s and is where the muscles in the eye have gotten thicker. As a result, the muscle struggles to stretch to focus on close up tasks. The most common complaint includes increased time in focussing from near to distance and distance to near.
Other complaints include having to stretch your arm out further to read comfortably for any length of time.
At Murray Opticians, we will take a history and understanding of your lifestyle to recommend glasses or contact lenses to help you get back to what you love doing. We will do this every 2 years or earlier if you feel there is a change.
